Sleeping is giving in...

Life hacker has a few practical tips on how to improve the quality of your sleep. The article acknowledges that for some, a lack of sleep can be described with a sense of pride (look at how hard I must be working) but then draws the parallel with eating habits and that few would boast if they were malnourishing themselves.

The advice ranges from cutting down on the late night computer or television activity as the bright screens late at night could interfere with circadian cycles (bright light has been used as a treatment for SAD) to cutting out distractions such as early morning noise & light to a coffee ban in the evening. While these may seem a bit of the quick-fix variety, the article also offers ideas on improving habits and changing your routines to get more useful sleep.
